David Madié
David Madié is the founder, creator and designer of GrowthWheel - an internationally recognized visual tool, which helps entrepreneurs and business owners make decisions and implement measures.
Since 2008, David has held courses for 4.500 business mentors in 78 countries worldwide. All mentors have been certified to use the GrowthWheels toolbox to help companies start-up, grow and develop.
HISTORY
David started his first company while studying at Aarhus Business School. After that, he founded more than ten companies and joint ventures in Scandinavia, South Asia, East Africa and North America. An example is NetGuide - a web agency that focuses on starting up joint ventures in developing countries. Together with his two partners, he developed NetGuide from 3 to 100 employees in 9 years, and started joint ventures in Denmark, Sweden, Uganda, Kenya, Bangladesh and Malaysia. The company was sold to US investors in 2000.
The World Economic Forum acknowledged David's pioneering efforts to combat the digital divide. In 2002, they named him one of the 200 global leaders for tomorrow.
David has a master's degree (M.Sc) in Economics and Business Administration from Aarhus Business School. He occasionally returns to academia and has taught entrepreneurship courses at "Parsons The New School of Design" in New York City, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, NY and at the University of Copenhagen.
David is chairman of a number of growth companies, including bObles , which designs children's furniture, and Daintel , an IT company that develops software for intensive care units. In addition, he is an adviser on policy concerning entrepreneurship for the Ministry of Business and Growth .
David lives in New York with his wife, Sophie, and their two children, Amelié and Léon.
